Resolution: It usually resolves within a week. Hopefully you are taking antibiotics so that you don't develop serious complications. Complications can include infection of middle ear, sinuses, tonsils, skin & blood; scarlet fever, inflammation of the kidney (glomerulonephritis) & eventually rheumatic fever.
