The bladder: Bladder irritation during UTI causes the dull ache that you describe. Not every episode of UTI is exactly the same due to many factors including severity and duration and extent of the infection. For example, in a man, a prostate extension could happen, changing the symptoms. Also, presence of stones changes symptom. What matters is to not let it linger. Treat promptly and prevent recurrence.
