Polyp is type of 2mr: A polyp is a type of tumor arising from a mucous membrane like the lining of the intestines, nose, or other body part that looks a bit like a mushroom. Many if not most polyps are benign which means they do not really tend to spread around the body or regrow quickly if removed. Others are precancerous and some are actually cancers.
