A member asked:

Do the benefits of stem cell research outweigh the moral issues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely, yes: The moral issues are a matter of opinion. Stem cell research offers medical hope to thousands of sick people who need a new organ but can not get it due to shortage of donors. Morality is more relevant to help these folks than worrying about a stem cell in the dish which technically speaking has no 'life'.
