A member asked:

Is there really no issue to be around newborns after getting the chicken pox vaccination?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes it is safe: C pox vaccine is a live vaccine that could in theory be contagious if the person who got the vaccine develops a c pox rash; this is extremely uncommon, so if you develop the rash after the vaccine dont have contact with the newborn until the rash resolves.
