Investigate: You need to have a talk with your physicians. Why was an ESR even done on a 4 year old? What other tests were run, what are her symptoms, what is suspected? Without knowing all this it isn't possible to sensibly answer your question, but your child's doctor (i'm assuming she is yours) should know a lot more about this.
