Could you tell me what happens when you fall asleep with a concussion?

Not too much: While in the past, it was suggested to keep a person with a concussion awake, at the present time, with a good exam it is no longer necessary. Many folks who have had a concussion come to medical attention one or two days after thier event, with no problem.

Normal occurrence: Concern about letting someone fall asleep is an old concept. If something dangerous is going to happen, it is most likely to occur within 4-6 hours following injury. After that it will most likely be safe to go to sleep.
