Can be normal: Light flashes or sparks can be nonspecific and not dangerous. They can indicate vitreous traction or may actually be coming from irritation in the brain in the visual tracts. If the sparks occur in the temperol periphery it may be secondary to changes in the eye. Though these are usually normal findings it may be helpful to have a doctor check you if they continue.
