Not recommended: Generally douching doesn't work very well to cure a bacterial vaginosis infection. And studies show that women who douche double their chance of getting bacterial vaginosis infections. Likely this is because douching can disturb the normal bacteria that live in the vagina. The presence of your normal bacteria helps prevent vaginal infections.
