A member asked:

How can sleeping on your stomach hurt your back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Back pain: Sleeping on your stomach long term can affect the natural curve in the lower back causing pain. You head is also turned to one side all night, which distorts the alignment of the spine in your neck. If you must sleep on your stomach it is best to have a firm mattress with a small or no pillow.
