Infection: Pus is usually a sign of a staph or strep infection in the skin, although not always. The sample was taken to determine what antibiotics the micro-organisms will be most sensitive to so you will be given the most effective medicine to target the infection. Depending on the extent of the infection, after starting the antibiotics, your scalp will probably clear up in two to four weeks.

Very serious: Infections like this can be very serious but should respond to antibiotics and local treatment. You should report whoever did this to you to the department of health.
