Knot in lip: Is the knot hard or soft? If it is soft it may take a little more time. If it is hard it may be a bit of scar tissue (fibroma) and may need to be removed. It will get smaller: At the swelling goes down it will get smaller. Depending on the severity of the cut you might have some fibrous or scar tissue there for many years.
