Complacency: A patient with anemia -- and a third of the world is anemic -- must find the cause and get it treated if at all possible. To do otherwise, in this day and age, is grossly negligent both on the part of the patient and the physician. If it's iron deficiency, why? There is no "one size fits all" anemia rx -- even supplements can be harmful depending on the cause. Please get proactive & demand truth.

Nothing particular: Anemia is just a low blood count. If counts are very low one should avoid strenuous exertion. But other than that should be good. Generally your body is pretty good at preventing "over" exertion. I see sickle cell disease on the list. Experts recommend that a good diet for that includes folate, a multivitamin without iron, and vitamin d.
