Menarche: Mood swings occur in girls who are approaching and going through puberty. So she could be getting ready to start her periods called menarche. However, i would get her checked out by the pediatrician to establish what is going on with the discharge, the headaches and depression. Do this soon.

Maybe: The first obvious sign of puberty in females is nipple enlargement which occurs about 2.5 years before the first period. Most females will have a whitish staining of their under ware starting about 6 mo before menarche. Menarche also occurs about 2.5 inches before the reach their final height.
