Several things: Several underlying causes need to be searched for and treated such as iron and vitamin deficiency, renal disease and peripheral neuropathy. In "idiopathic" rls, several drugs can help with the symptoms such as Dopamine agonists, dopa, and gabapentin, small doses of benzodiazepines. Your doctor will choose the most appropriate drug for you. In general, this condition responds well to treatment.

Many things: Meds, avoid alcohol and caffeine. Mild exercise is helpful though too strenuous exercise makes it worse. Warm baths and showers may be helpful. Make sure you're not iron deficient.
