I am 6 days post op pericardial effusion. i have sudden sharp pain under left breast up to shoulder and neck. is this normal post op recovery?

May be normal.: I am sure your ct surgeon is watching you carefully and would like to know if you are having discomfort. There is hardly anything "normal" about being post op pericardial effusion. However, this pain may be predicted. As long as you are not developing progressive pain or recurrence of symptoms that prompted the surgery you should be fine.
