Irregular bleeding: Well, if you are trying to conceive it is possible that the spotting is implantation bleeding. In a few more days you will be able to do a pregnancy test. If you are not trying to conceive then midcycle spotting raises certain other possibilities and an ultrasound is a very good idea.
