NOT likely: Sorry to hear that the hubby is ill. Fortunately, sinus infection is typically not considered contagious. Often, however, the common colds precede the sinus infection and common colds typically are caused by viruses which can be contagious. Washing hands well is probably the best way to prevent spread of infections. Cover your coughs too. Good luck to you and the hubby.

Unlikely, with : Precautions. Your illness could be viral or bacterial. Being on antibiotics, your docs have made a judgement that it may be the latter. If viral, aerosolized secretions may cause fever for your husband. Because of his neutropenia, we assume a serious bacterial infection and treat accordingly. Good hand washing is prudent. Most serious infections in neutropenic pts come from their own bacteria.
