Tums (calcium carbonate): This sounds like an episode of heart burn. An otc treatment like Tums maalox or Gaviscon can be helpful. So can more powerful medications such as Prilosec or pepcid (famotidine). If it continues after that, or you have nausea vomiting or severe pain, consult your physician.
