Yes: People have wildly varying sex drives. It's not normal to use sex like a drug - to avoid life problems, to "numb" oneself to what has happened in the past or what is going on currently, etc. If you are having sex responsibly (using protection, having sex with people who won't hurt you and whom you are not hurting, etc), or if you are not having sex but really want to, that's normal.
