A member asked:

Burnt myself with a curling iron on my knee, got a bumpy scar that might have fluid in it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Curling iron burn: Timing is important. If the burn happened within the past 24 hours you may have a second degree partial thickness thermal injury as evidenced by the blister. Generally leave this alone but once it ruptures you will want to keep it clean. If this is an old burn injury then you may be developing hypertrophic (thick scar).
