Burn: Place burned area under cool running water. If large area or hand is involved or if skin is very blistered or white & waxy, go to er for definitive treatment to prevent contractures or infection. Avoid smearing butter or such on the area; it will just have to be scrubbed off. If area involved is small, after cooling water, may use neosporin. Leave blisters intact.
