Confirmation: Recurrent vaginal candidiasis needs an extensive workup. One should be tested for diabetes and immune system suppression. It is also necessary to confirm that the vaginal infection is in fact yeast. This should be done by fungal culture. Many times people think they have yeast when in reality they have something else.
