Depends: Not sure about what you call "a lot". Depending on the drug, long term risks may be very small or very high. Often your condition may be such that it requires a number of drugs for control. Hypertension may often require 3 or 4 different drugs to maintain control. The same may be true for diabetes. Often people see a number of physicians but don;t tell each of them about drugs the other prescribed.
