Not necessarily: A calf with a DVT can be red and swollen but it certainly doesn't have to be. Redness with dvts is actually fairly uncommon. Swelling and pain is more typical but sometimes you might only have one or the other or neither. If you have concerns that you might have a dvt, you should get it checked out.

DVT: Dvt usually will lead to a swollen and may be red or even lead to bluish discoloration of leg. Would suggest you have an ultrasound to check the veins in your leg.
