Itchy ear: Nothing that should really be affected behind the hear. Maybe a tape allergy/intolerance? If it is a scab just above the ear on both sides, maybe your doctor used some "tongs" to maintain your head position during surgery? Ask your surgeon, but nothing that is likely significant.

It could be related: Also it could unrelated to the surgery you had, the best thing to do , because if you infection from the surgery or from other areas it could very bad. I will check with the surgeon did the surgery for advise to be sure you have no complications.

Call your Surgeon: I'm assuming you had a left sided anterior neck incision. A lot of those may simply be normal post-operative healing. But you can also be allergic to a medication. Call your surgeon, so that he/she can evaluate you and ensure there are nothing to worry about. Make sure you are not having any fevers, and that you are not having any drainage from your incision, and there's no trouble breathing.

See your surgeon: Not sure if you had an anterior or posterior approach, but this sounds like it would be away from most cervical spine incisions. This might have been the site of one of the skull pins to hold your neck stable, a traction pin, one of the monitoring leads often used during spine surgery, or a staple in the drape. Check with your surgeon.
