A member asked:

Why does the time during my periods leaves my stomach so gassy that it hurts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hormones?: For many women the hormones prior to your period cause intestinal symptoms. The pill often helps with this by regulating your hormones. If there is only pain that feels like gas but not real gas, it could be endometriosis as well. Usually, trying birth control pills can help treat it.
