Symptom management.: Ocular rosacea is a difficult disease to manage, in large part because the exact cause is unknown. Treatment is guided by the severity of your symptoms: if mild, frequent application of artificial teardrops and warm compresses to the affected eye are helpful. In more severe cases, antibiotics and steroids can be used for a limited time, but can have side effects. Surgery is a last resort.
