Follow-up w/eyeMD: Strabismus surgery often affects upper and lower lid height postoperatively, due to fibrous bands in the orbit that are altered during surgery or the healing phase. Wait until the lid height has stabilized and consult an oculoplastic surgeon. Orbital fat atrophy often results in a narrowed lid fissure as well. Other unrelated causes of ptosis are possible too.
