A member asked:

I take meclizine for spinning dizziness it don't work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dizziness: Vertigo or spinning sensation cod be sur to multiple conditions like benign paroxysmal vertigo attributed by displacement of the calcium crystals in the vestibular organ in the ear. This responds to excercises to reposition the crystals in place. Ménière's disease causes vertigo as well and responds sometimes to low salt diet. Meclizine ameliorate symptoms at times, but slows down the recovery.
