See below: The butterfly or malar rash is one of several signs or symptoms but you do not have to have it to have lupus. It is unusual to have both systemic lupus with psoriasis though it can happen. If one has psoriasis, that individual is more apt to have psoriatic arthritis than lupus. See a rheumatologist to clarify what exactly you have.
