Not likely: Home pregnancy tests are actually very sensitive. The most likely explanation for missing 2 periods is failure to ovulate (the egg is not being released from the ovary). This can have a variety of different presentations. It can be associated with weight gain, unwanted hair growth, acne, frontal hair thinning, or sometimes none of these. Suggest lh, fsh, tsh, prolactin tests.
