Need more info: I am not sure what the question relates to. Ascorbic acid (vitamin c) levels are normally not checked. If someone is taking a high dose of vit c, a level might be checked, but I am more interested in why the vitamin and what resources are used for dosing. Some physicians such as dr linus pauling recommend huge dosages (10, 000 mg), other experts 500 mg. Can cause diarrhea maybe kidney stones.
