HPV: There is no known contraindication for hpv vaccine in women under 21 and now boys. You will need to discuss with your gyn whether you are able to get the vaccine yourself.

HPV and Gardisil: Some physicians may not be up to date, but there is some evidence that humans with hpv related changes that put a patient at risk for cancer willl improve with the gardisil vaccine. Even if they have been exposed to the virus prior to the vaccination. The complication is that insurance companies may not pay for the vaccine if one is over 26 years of age. But, i recommend it to my adult patients.
