Just Stop: Though narcotic withdraw symptoms are dramatized in the media, it is really no big deal. Opiate withdraw makes you feel crummy for 1-3 weeks, but is never fatal. This is not true of some other drugs like alcohol and barbiturates.

Congratulations: On deciding to make a healthy life decision! you will have symptoms of withdrawal and possibly a return of the things that led you to abuse the pills to begin with. It's best to consult your md or an addiction specialist to reduce the use of pills gradually and also deal with problems that come with withdrawal. It is hard to do but you can overcome it with help.
