Uric acid of 7 mg/dl: You should should see a rheumatologist (r). Diet is important to control uric acid and yours has failed. Have a 24 hour urine for uric acid (ua) done. If you produce too much ua, Allopurinol can be used to lower it. If you excrete too little ua, Colcrys can be used. If your ua is normal in the urine collection, uloric can be used. Ua is a cardiovascular risk factor that needs to be controlled.
