Depends: Could happen right away and certainly would not assume you cannot conceive so use protection unless you are wanting to be pregnant. If your cycles are not normal then i would seek an evaluation within 3-6 months of removal.

Unknown: Ovulation and menses can be irregular after Implanon removal.... Patience is necessary... Could happen in next 3-9 months.
