Not quite: Pregnancy involves implantation of the fertilized egg. It takes a couple of days for the egg to travel to the uterus and become implanted. So technically you wouldn't get pregnant on the same day you have sex. However, if you ovulate a couple of days before or a day after you have sex, there is a chance that the egg will become fertilized and lead to pregnancy.
