Electrodessication: In my experience, these clumps of overactive oil glands are best treated with electrodessication. The area is numbed with local anesthetic and then the electric needle is used to painlessly burn away the tissue that sticks up above the surface. This leaves little if any scar and the patient recovers very quickly.
