Physical therapy: Do you have back pain or does the pain radiate down to the legs? Physical therapy can help. There are also medicines to help with back pain, neuropathic pain- have you used any medicines in the past?

NSAID's and P.T.: Avoid activities that provoke the pain; sitting is commonly a problem. Anti-inflammatory medication or a brief course of steroids may be helpful. Physical therapy may be helpful. Epidural steroid injections are commonly used and may provide temporary relief, but they are expensive and rarely provide a definitive treatment.
