No: Reflux can be bad enough to irritate tonsils and the back of your throat.However, that is basically the same as an acid burn if you spilled it on your skin.Strep throat is caused when the strep germ invades the throat and eats away at the tissue causing injury through infection. Reflux should never cause systemic fever. If you are having trouble telling them apart a strep test can help decide.
