A member asked:

I will be having an mri soon and there's a chance that i have a paperclip in my rectum can that cause a problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Paperclips can move in the magnetic field and cause damage. Please tell your doctor of this. You may need an xray to see if the paperclip is there and, if it is, have it removed. You should not have an MRI until this is resolved.
