Miscarriage: Miscarriages occur in 15-20% of all pregnancies and are usually genetic in cause. The genetic miscarriage is not due to anything that you may have done and is usually determined at the time of conception. This is nature's way of making sure an abnormal fetus does not result. These abnormalities happen by chance and may not occur in subsequent pregnancy, however, this risk increases with age.
