Probably lymph node: Sore throats can be painful and annoying. Most sore throats are caused by a minor illness and go away without medical treatment.This combination of symptoms sounds like an inflammed node associated with a sore throat, either viral or strep.Soreness in throat can be related to tonsils if still present. You should see physician to determine bacterial or viral and the need for antibiotics.
