Can a d&c procedure cause infertility?

Possibly: It is rare but a D&C can cause infertility. There is a small chance of developing a uterotubal infection after such a procedure. Also a syndrome called Asherman can occur where scarring in the uterine cavity can occur in preventing implantation of the embryo.
