Diet>exercise : There are numerous benefits to exercise, including strengthening, improving cardiopulmonary stamina, improved metabolism with enhanced Insulin sensitivity. Caloric burning is modest itself (you have to run for hours to burn off 3500 calories which equals a pound). Combining aerobic with strengthening exercises (perhaps with frequent short intervals) might enhance the effect but u need to diet.
