Infection: The sudden onset of your symptoms is consistent with an upper respiratory infection. This may be viral or bacterial. You can take decongestants or a sinus rinse for symptomatic relief. If you have worsening symptoms, high fever, or shortness of breath you should see your doctor immediately. You should also see your doctor if your symptoms persist.
