Hepatitis B: First you should verify you have hepatitis b. 80% of hepatitis b infections clear and cause no long term damage. You are of an age that you should have been vaccinated for hepatitis b as a child. These vaccines started in 1984 for all american pediatric patients. If you do have the chronic active infection then there are medications that can fully suppress the hepatitis virus.
