I'm having an ultrasound scan on a lump at the side of breast but when i lie down the lump 'disappears' so nothing will be picked up what shall i do?

Get the US scan: Although it is probably either nothing, or something benign, please get the us scan. You may be surprised and find something that needs to be further evaluated. If not, you have piece of mind.

Ask technologist: Ask the technologist to scan the lump while sitting up. Sometimes the lump moves and is hard to feel when changing positions.
