Yes and No: Periods can come as soon as 20-21 days apart but if it just started to come more frequently now it should be evaluated by your gynecologist. Hormonal changes, ovarian cysts, endometrial polyps can cause these early periods or breakthrough bleeding so you should have it worked up. Especially at 44yo.
